Heronsgate Rehearsal Rooms” is a new venue for musicians to practice, rehearse & teach in as well as being ideal for audition sessions. We offer 3 different rooms for hire.
“The Music Room” has a Steinway Model S grand piano, and space for at least a quartet/quintet to rehearse in. The room could host small performances with approx 30 audience (depending on the size of the performing group).
“The Studio” has 2 fortepianos- one is a copy of a Fritz (Beethoven style) and the other a Walter (Mozart style) allowing for varied repertoire. This garden studio is a particularly tranquil space & has room for a quartet size group to rehearse alongside the pianos.
“The Practice Room” houses a beautiful copy of a Flemish Colmar Ruckers Harpsichord, by Mackinnon and Waitzman. This is said to be a very fine instrument by leading players. This room would also have space for at least a trio to play together.
The rooms are within a lovely family home, the instruments having been recently inherited. There is access to amenities including kitchen, as well as high spec HiFi. The Studio is in a large garden which provides a wonderful relaxing space to stretch the legs, as well as nearby woods for more extensive walks.
The location of the house is within the peaceful and leafy Heronsgate heritage village, located very close to Junction 17 of the M25, and with Chorleywood Station nearby. This is on the Metropolitan line as well as fast Chiltern Trains from Marylebone. For overseas visitors we are locate a mere 11miles (20 minutes drive) from Heathrow airport.
There is also the possibility of overnight accommodation in a double or a single room if available.
