About Staffordshire Street CIC

Set in the heart of Peckham, Staffordshire St is a bright, open plan venue with full spectrum lighting available for private events, pop up shops, product launches, film and photoshoots, and more. The Main Gallery boasts pristine white walls, wooden floor boards, a 3.4m high ceiling and 1500 sq ft of floor space.

This historic venue was built in 1833 as a Methodist Hall and retains some of its original features; large paned windows on the facade of the building and six pillars that attractively frame the space. In 2017 it was established as an art gallery, before then it was vacant for many years after a community centre closed. Staffordshire St builds on the established record of these histories, in 2022 we opened the doors again to the neighbourhood developing a welcoming interdisciplinary arts space.

Staffordshire Street CIC is a new independent not-for-profit project space supporting arts and cultural events in South London, committed to providing opportunities for under-represented artists to develop their work and build educational and collaborative exchanges. We produce exhibitions, collaborative projects and live events alongside a learning programme of talks, screenings and workshops. We also provide affordable studios for artists, makers and designers. โ€‹As a community interest company, all income raised through venue hire is reinvested into supporting artists and events within our community.

Please note this venue is not available for exhibition hires as our programming is organised through careful consideration of the impact it has on our surrounding community. For exhibition hires we recommend visiting the โ€˜aboutโ€™ section on our website for consideration of our collaborative programming.
