The Church accepts no responsibility for loss by theft or otherwise or for damage to any goods or property of any kind brought into or left at the premises.
If wishing to give entertainment on the premises, please reach out office@hindestreet.org at least two weeks in advance for meeting room bookings and four weeks in advance for church bookings for programme approval.
Non-Christian religious worship or observances are not permitted. The Church itself must not be used for activities which would cause offence in a place of worship.
No notices, posters or other material are to be written on or attached to the exterior or interior of the premises except with permission of the Office Manager.
Smoking and the consumption of alcohol is not permitted on or in the Church premises. This includes the open space at basement level around the building.
If booking a room or the church on a Wednesday/Thursday, please be aware that whilst the room or the church itself is solely available to your group, we host a drop in club on Wednesdays for homeless people and their friends from 4pm to 7pm, and on Thursdays from 3pm to 6pm. These guests use the church basement rooms, including the hall, corridors, and basement toilets.
Animals are not allowed into meetings and in any part of our premises unless they are assistance dogs.
Please note that bikes are not permitted to be brought into the premises or chained onto the church railings. Bike racks can be found on the corner of George Street by Pret.
Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or teacher, including visits to the toilet.
We do not hire downstairs rooms to groups in which children are present when there are other adult groups using the building. This is to ensure that children are effectively safeguarded. However, you remain responsible for those in your care. If you’ve witnessed antisocial behaviour during your group’s meeting, please report it to us and evacuate the room if necessary.
The covering of windows in fire doors is not permitted.
Large groups hiring the space MUST complete their own H&S/Fire Risk Assessments for their own activity. We will also ask groups hiring the church to complete our Risk Assessment Proforma which will provide us with the additional required information.
To ensure the safety of everyone who uses our venue, it is important that all attendees follow the Fire Evacuation Procedures.
